What can we do as responsible pet parents to keep our pets in an ideal body score condition?

1. Stick to Feeding Timelines
Take note that the feeding guidelines are in fact a guide. This means that you are welcome to make adjustments as per your pets requirements. Factors that may have an effect on feeding guidelines are age, sterilization, activity levels, medical conditions, breed, etc.
Also, take into consideration all the additional treats as well as wet food given during the day or with meals.

If your pet is prone to weight gain and you are not sure how to make these adjustments please consult your nearest vet.

2. Keep it Low Calorie
Like us, pets need to have a controlled calorie intake. Sterilized or not, some breeds are prone to weight gain. If you are worried then keep them on a low-calorie diet and do not over treat. If you do treat, set a limit as to how many treats per day and ensure it is a treat formulated for your pets.
So, NO table scraps or human food – please

3. Exercise
Dogs are interactive creatures by nature and can’t be expected to exercise themselves. So we urge you to go out and buy that super bouncy, squeaky and possibly float-able ball and go play fetch with your best buddy.

Dig out that old lead and harness and walk your pets down a couple of blocks – Yes, you can walk your cats too!

And remember to always leave a fresh bowl of water for your pets!
